My goal is to help build resilient, curious and caring communities.
Over the past 15+ years, I have supported individuals, communities and organizations in building systems and cultures of learning (and unlearning) in order to navigate complexity and a constantly changing world.
I am especially excited about placemaking, the built environment, work in the public realm and community efforts that bridge public and private spaces.
I utilize tools, mindsets, and experiences in participatory research, design ethnography, system design, strategic foresight and service design.
The work itself depends on context and a multitude of factors.
- Sometimes this means helping to identify duplications of efforts and aligning disparate work streams or siloed teams.
- Other times it means driving clarity and progress by enabling intentional collaboration and better partnerships between communities and stakeholders, between different disciplines and across the public and private sector.
- Often it means building confidence and reducing risk through systems and cultures that support evidence based decision-making at all levels of an organization.
- And other times it looks more like training and thought partnership, in order to build capacity and new capabilities as well as driving sustainable culture change.
